OAU Hosts Leadership Summit for Student Leaders

On June 29th, Obafemi Awolowo University hosted its annual Leadership Summit, specifically designed for student leaders across various faculties and student organizations. The event, held in the university’s main auditorium, brought together over 200 student representatives for a day of intensive workshops, networking, and skill-building activities.

The summit’s theme, “Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders Today,” focused on developing essential leadership skills such as effective communication, strategic planning, and ethical decision-making. Distinguished alumni and industry experts led sessions on topics including innovation in leadership, conflict resolution, and community engagement.

Participants engaged in breakout sessions and case study analyses, providing practical experience and fostering collaboration among different student groups. The event also featured a panel discussion where seasoned leaders shared their journeys and offered advice to aspiring student leaders.
